Slowly, he sat up in his chair, “sorry. I uh.. didn’t know it’d fling off my fork.” clearing his throat he glanced down at his plate for a moment. Cole set the fork down and pushed the plate away. “I think I’m done.. before anyone else ends up with food on them.” He was then able to hear Zelena’s laugh. A sense of relief washing over him. Out of everyone at the table, the one he didn’t want to hit with food was Zelena. He knew she had a bit of a cleaning problem, OCD or something like that.
Continuing on with the conversations before the whole incident. Cole had tried his best not to laugh at the way Jace was acting about Fluffy. He knew well enough what Jazzy was talking about and he was secretly behind it all. “All that tail chasing and shoe chewing, no? Man how it would be to live a dogs life. Sleep, eat, poop, and repeat!” he looked over at Jace, “sounds like the good life, right? Not having to pay bills or worry about how your food is going to be put into your bowl.” He smiled at the thought.
He pictured himself as a dog, as Jazzy’s dog. The way she held fluffy and how she got excited over him. Cole shook away the thoughts and blinked, “why not get.. a fish or a uh.. turtle?” A laugh escaped him as Cookie was brought up into the conversation. “Poor cookie must be scared. Fluffy is pure fuzzy evil. Like this big ball of fluffiness that is just… evil.” He nodded all wise like. The only reason he kept going on about that was because of the way Jace reacted. He wanted Jace to like him anyway and he had easily gotten that since day one.
Jace nodded, “Yep, not fun, not to mention he tends to sleep in between me and Zelena, debated on closing the door but when I do, he just growls and barks until I open it, because someone is too lazy to get up and get their dog.” Jazzy scoffed and rested her chin on her hand, “Sleep is essential when you’re a kid dad.” Jace’s eyes widened a bit in surprise, “Oh? So NOW you’re a kid? But whenever I try to hug you, you’re all grown up?” She let out a devilish smile. “That’s right.”
Another nod from Jace, “Yeah it would be, then again, it wouldn’t if you can’t eat chocolate along with all the other foods, it’s a tough decision to be honest.” Jazzy groaned, “Dad wanted a fish, but after Noah has told me what all happened to his dad’s and I commented it to him, he sorta backed out, as for turtles, yeah. No. So mum got me Fluffy, because she knows me best.” She grinned at Zelena. Jace smiled, “Cole, you really are a smart kid.” He glanced at the time, “Well, you two better get going or you won’t be able to do all the things you have planned, I’ll wash the dishes this time Jaz, go have fun.”
A sigh of relief escaped her, she didn’t want to have to come home and wash dishes, though she was kind enough to get up and pick up everyone’s plates and so on, stacking a neat pile in the sink, she then walked back, “I’ll go get changed then, I’ll be back.” She smiled and then took a slow jog to her room, closing it, she quickly got dressed, putting her bathing suit under her clothes, she grabbed her flip flops and slipped them on, putting some extra clothes in her bag as well as sneakers, she put her bag on which looked more like a backpack than a bag, she walked out and peeked in to her parents’ room to see Fluffy sleeping on his back, she smiled and then walked back, “Ready?”
